Mary Ellen Balchunis, Ph.D.

Dr. Balchunis received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She has a Master in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Temple University. She is a Fulbright Scholar, having taught Mass Media and Politics in Sweden. Dr. Balchunis has a wealth of political experience, serving as an assistant to a Mayor; having run a nonprofit organization, and having participated in five National Conventions. Vice Chair of the Delware County Democrats; Dr Balchunis serves as Faculty Moderator to La Salle's College Democrats and the Political Science Honor Society, PSI MU. She is also active in the American Political Science Association and the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). She has served twice as President of the Philadelphia Chapter of ASPA, and she was elected to the National Board of Directors where she was also appointed to the Executive Committee. She has served on several other boards and received numerous awards.
