Select an interview from one of the sites included on the interview links page. Interviewers are: Susan Stamberg, Terry Gross (Fresh Air), Ira Glass and others (This American Life) and Todd Mundt (The Todd Mundt Show). Type a double-spaced analysis of the interview that includes:

• what the interviewer knew about the subject before the interview
• how he or she conducted the interview; what apparent strategy was used
• what sorts of questions were asked?
• how did they lead up to questions?
• how were weak answers handled?
• what sort of rapport was established?
• any special techniques or other aspects you noticed
• overall, what did you learn (good, bad) about interviewing?

Be prepared to give a report on your analysis next week. Be sure to note when the interview is and how you accessed it on the Web site.
