ENG 330

Part 1

December 10

December 17

Projects are due on-line Wednesday, December 16. The best system is to put the final project in its own folder so that you don’t have to take down any other sites in your public_html folder. Print out source code for the first page the end user sees (splash, home page, etc.), the form page, and any other key pages. Mark on that printout your URL (e.g. www.lasalle.edu/~beattyj1/finalproj/) and indicate where you have included an image map, JavaScript, style sheet and animated GIF (check here for ideas. You can hand these in to my office (O-157) or office mailbox (O-141) Wednesday.

Final test Thursday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the lab covers:
All material from Oct. 29 on, specifically
  • color theory, Hex codes and browser-safe palettes
  • project planning (basic steps)
  • frames, iframes
  • forms
  • Style sheets (CSS)
  • Dreamweaver(know basic functions and capabilities)
  • JavaScript
  • Basic XML, XHTML
Plus XHTML and CSS coding (be able to look at a page of code and spot errors).
Readings are in order: from Castro’s HTML, XHTML & CSS, chapters 17, 10 & 11 (review), 19, 20, 23, 24, plus Appendix E and B and p. 117 in Chapter 6. and from McIntire’s Visual Design for the Modern Web, chapters 5, 8, 2 and p. 98 (image maps) and 111 (frames).
