• XHTML2 site of the day from Anthony and Joe.

Today’s topic is working on your handcoded pages. We will look at research for your bibliography in the second part, and we will also take a look at our library’s Web searching page and Big6 research process including the CARDS evaluation formula. You should know how to cite and evaluate on-line resources. You should be able to describe and find databases including Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe, First Search and ProQuest. Take a look at at least two sites that discuss evaluating Web resources. And one at U. Berkeley’s library's: Web evaluation site. Use what you’ve learned to produce the Annotated Bibliography that’s due October 1. Your bibliography must use MLA style.

When working on the hand-coded Web pages due next week, be careful of spelling (make the content real), noting all the required elements. E-mail me the file. No need to put it up on the Web.

Your assignment is to follow class instructions to create a Web page that links to a picture using Notepad as described on the handcoded assignment.
