EARTH DAY AND ARBOR DAY

New trees and shrubs are added to our campus every year.  This is a continuous process throughout the year, not just on Earth Day or Arbor Day.  The acquisition of the 30+ acres of the former Germantown Hospital (now WEST CAMPUS!), the reconstruction and addition to the Holroyd Science & Technology Center and additional walkways connecting areas of the campus have provided new areas to consider.

For Arbor Day / Earth Day several Biology Club members assist La Salle’s Grounds keepers in the planting of a Pawpaw tree (Asimina triloba) on the Belfield portion of the campus.  This is a companion for a previously planted Pawpaw and hopefully will allow for cross pollination and fruit set.
