Send the file as an email "attachment." (Click on File/Attach, find the file in the dialog box that opens up, click Create. The file should then appear as an icon. Suppose you receive such a file. If you double click on the icon, you can "launch it," i.e. open it up in the appropriate package, or you can "detach it", i.e. save it, or you can "view it.")
