The Week of January 25
- Homework:
- Convert the numbers of your birthday to binary.
For example,
Month | Day |
January | 25 |
1 | 25 |
1 | 11001 |
- Estimate the number of bytes in a book you have
recently read. There is approximately one byte per
letter, space or punctuation mark. For purposes of
this exercise you should ignore any illustrations,
photos, etc. Roughly how many floppy disks would it
take to hold a file with this many bytes? You should
include some details of your calculation.
Email me your answers to the above by the beginning
of class on Feb. 1.
