The Week of April 26
- Homework:
Write a two-page paper (in Word, double spaced, 12 pt
font) stating both sides of the Microsoft Antitrust suit.
- Reading:
Chapter 13 in Discovering Computers 98
(Shelly, Cashman and Waggoner).
- Monday:
Go to the web and find some data on this week's
expected temperatures. Plot them in Excel. Save
as HTML. Then make a web page that uses the graph
you made.
- Wednesday:
Search the internet for information on the following:
- Find the name of some encryption software.
- Find some software or a service that will make your
surfing the internet more anonymous.
- Name a way in which the Y2K problem might affect you
directly.
- What is identity theft?
- What is ergonomics?
- What is spam?
- What is a trojan horse?
Answer as many questions as you can and provide the URL
of a relevant site or sites.
- Friday:
Lecture on Privacy, Security and Ethics.
