Students and Faculty,
My name is Dan Buck and in case you didn't know, I'm a Senior DArt major entrenched in the work of my seminar class.
This letter is to inform you all that as part of the Senior Project, our group has been commissioned to construct a brochure and CD that represents the DArt department, for use in distribution to prospective high school students and undecided majors.
As part of our overall design, we're showcasing everything from website design, graphic design (art, photography, animation, etc), and digital audio. Therefore, this letter serves as an open call for absolutely anyone in the DArt track to submit work that they're proud of. Website designers in particular, don't be shy - we're really looking to accentuate the web design core of the major, and your entries would be most appreciated.
All submissions need to come with your name, the title of the piece (if applicable) and any extra credits of mention (including citations if you piece draws from other works).
Websites: Provide us with a working link to your website. Websites will not be hotlinked from this project, we will be taking screenshots - so don't worry about future bandwidth issues. Please do not send us your own screenshots.
Graphic Design: Provide us with a TIFF export of your submission at 300 dpi on CD, handed to Professor McCoey in Olney 128.
Other Design: Flash files (.swf) welcome, as well as other media files such as video and audio. Video and audio files should be submitted to Professor McCoey in Olney 128 on CD.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 8th.
Your participation is critical to the success of both the CDROM and the brochure. We hope that you will help the DArt program and showcase some of your finest work.
Please feel proud of your work, and don't hold back on submissions. We want the opportunity to listen to every voice, and to give everyone a chance for exposure.
Thank you for your time and participation.
-Dan Buck and the members of the Senior Seminar
