PHY 105: The Week beginning Nov. 27 |
We went over problems involving conservation of momentum, considering examples of both inelastic and elastic collisions.
We went over a problem based on the concept of rotational equilibrium (the balancing of clockwise and couterclockwise torques).
We started to discuss the rotational equivalent of the equation F=ma, namely that if there is a net torque on an object, that the object in turn, will experience an angular acceleration.
A practice test on the material on lecture exam 3.
Problem session for Friday's exam.
