LOCK works with different children's programs, such as St. Christopher's Children's Hospital and St. Vincent's, to open doors for children that would normally be closed to them.
Best Buddies

This national organization pairs La Salle students with mentally and physically challenged teenagers. The students and their buddies build relationships through events such as field trips, pizza parties, and trips to the movies.
Big Brothers & Big Sisters
[ top ]

Big Brothers & Big Sisters pairs La Salle students with students from local elementary schools. Big Brothers & Big Sisters aims at enabling students to grow together while building bonds of friendship.

Neighborhood Tutoring
[ top ]
Neighborhood tutoring is an after school program for neighborhood children in which they receive one-on-one tutoring with one of the volunteers twice a week. This is one of the largest work-study programs in the country and has been nationally recognized by former President Clinton.
Foster Care
[ top ]
Foster Care tutoring aims to provide children with committed tutors who assists in academic, social, and emotional growth. Both the student and the child have the opportunity to build a trusting relationship. La Salle students help to illustrate that attending college is an attainable goal. Occasionally, children and their tutors take educational trips.
San Miguel
[ top ]
La Salle students work in an after-school program with at-risk middle school students at San Miguel, a Christian Brothers school in Camden, NJ. Goals include homework help, computer assistance, and being able to listen to the students' needs and concerns.
