CS 152 Spring 2003 Assignment 1 – Windows 2000 Explorer 10 points

Due: 01/29/2003 at the start of class.

Main Assignment:

Using Windows 2000 Explorer

1) Create a folder on a floppy disk called spring2003.

2) Create a folder inside that folder called CSC152

3) Use Windows Explorer to find Public on Stu_srv1 (F: drive)

4) Copy FROM folder (F:\Data\Redmond\152) the two files 152-syl.doc and Assignment1.doc TO your floppy A:\ spring2003\CSC152\

Note that these are old files. Question: When were they last modified?

5) Rename your copy of the file 152-syl.doc TO Old Intro Comp Syl.doc

6) Turn in your disk, carefully labeled with your name, with the proper files in the proper places on the disk.

Details:

1) This is an exercise in using Windows 2000 Explorer. There are other ways to do these tasks. Be a La Sallian, use the Explorer.
