  10. B
  11. System Software runs the computer, applications software does a task that is useful to somebody (in itself)
  12. In moving, the file is no longer in the previous place. In copying it is in both places, the new and the previous.
  13. WWW, FTP (Gopher is correct too).
  14. Horizontal portal is a general interest site, with articles on a variety of topics. A vertical portal is a special interest site – with many articles on a narrow range of topics.
  15. Most of what you find via library searches is from a credible source – having been edited (newspapers) or reviewed (journals and books).
  16. No author identified (hence no credentials). (Dr. Atkins is NOT an author of the site). Contact info is only of a commercial nature – ordering, customer service. It is highly unlikely that these would yield somebody who could comment with any knowledge. Page is likely biased – the page is on a site of a company selling a product – nutritional supplements. Clearly, it presents only one side of the issue. I do not know the credibility/reputation of the company itself, but its obvious agenda of selling products consistent with the diet affects its credibility on this topic. Overall, this site does not seem to be very credible despite the list of references. A controversial topic covered without any discussion of the other side.

(BTW, I asked only for Credibility in order to save you time on the test. Other criteria were ignored in grading if supplied)

  1. Graded individually, each article is different.
  2. Graded Individually, files and folders must be correct.
  3. Mail was received from everybody in attendance at the test.
