Task:
Thinking at the level of a “high level map” identify at least 10 transforms that have to be done in doing the ETL process that will result in the attached star schema, starting from the attached 3NF database. Be as specific as possible (e.g. how is the Owner information brought into the House? (you don’t have to write SQL)). The idea is to create a detailed plan / high level design for the ETL (i.e. I’m not looking for management tasks such as “create a high level plan, decide on ETL tools …”) (However, note that I’m only asking for 10; there are dozens of things that have to be done). Your answer should be neat and easy to read.
The idea here is to stop thinking in the abstract and really see the work that has to be done.
