Welcome to CIS 636 - Advanced Computing with Java

This course concerns intermediate and advanced Java programming. We start with C++ as a base, and cover basic things that are different in Java. We review OOP, in Java, so that everybody has the same baseline. Then we will cover more advanced techniques: exception handling, threads, GUIs, JDBC, streams, and time permitting, servlets, and java server pages.

The course is an elective course for the Computer Information Science M.S. program.
