Listening Assignment No. 3

Due Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

Select a symphony to listen, analyze, and study.

Find two different videos of the symphony to watch.

On paper, compare the two videos: conductor movements, expressiveness, volume, dynamic changes, tempo, timbre, etc.

At first, the only differences that may be apparent to you are changes in tempo, but as you keep listening, you will certainly hear more!

Give a little background on each of the orchestras and conductors as well (just a short paragraph of a couple of sentences for each).
