My research interests include :
Learning By Doing
I am committed to providing students the opportunity to become involved in scientific research. Often students forget concepts they see or hear, but they never forget ideas and concepts they learned from "hands-on" research. Many of my students have also been given the chance to present their work at national meetings of the American Chemical Society (New Orleans, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco)
Here's a couple of my favorite quotes related to learning
- I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.
Confucius - The important thing in science is not so much to obtain new facts as
to discover new ways of thinking about them.
Sir William Bragg
