- CSS-P/Dreamweaver site of the day from:
Todays topic is a brief review of positioning with cascading style sheets, and then Dreamweaver's CSS templates. Here is a full summary of issues with float: from CSS-Tricks, a good site to know.
Reading review: HTML & CSS Chapter 15, and (optional) Dreamweaver CS6 chapter 8.
For the latter, we will watch chapters 3, 4 and 5 from these Adobe TV videos. Also this CS5 article from the Adobe Edge newsletter (you should subscribe to this).
It's suggested that, in addition to being able to handcode a CSS layout, you use this final project to familiarize yourself with the Dreamweaver CSS starter layouts (not the same as templates which are .dwt files). One place to start are the Adobe TV videos here (CS4 is better place to start), lessons 3, 4 and 5 (layouts, add text & images, style text/CSS).
Take a look through the W3Schools version, and be able to answer their quiz.
Here is a good reference list for current CSS-3 properties at CSS3.info (look at the preview section) and a quick Top 10 CSS-3 features to start with.
