    Today’s topic is basic HTML. On the Weekly schedule I mentioned TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). TCP controls how packets of information are sent and IP controls the addresses they’re sent to. An IP address is four 8-bit numbers separated by dots.

    To try and keep all these languages straight, here's a little history.

    Intro to creating Web pages is covered in readings assigned for next week:

    • HTML & CSS Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (pp. 94-106 and 120-122 for writing the code), 8 (p. 181), 17. To continue here is Chapter 2 as a PowerPoint.
