Note that the data is in blue, indicating that it was highlighted. The Chart Wizard, which looks like a column chart, was clicked; notice that it is still depressed. A dialog box popped up, and we selected XY (Scatter) as the chart type. We can choose to have points only, lines only or points and lines. We choose points only because we are going to "fit" the data. The fit will be a line, and we do not want to confuse the fit line with lines through the data points. Clicking the Next button on the dialog box will lead to further dialog boxes allowing one to add a title and so forth.
