Don't forget that there is a project associated with this course. People have done hardware
installation (e.g. memory, sound cards), peripherals (e.g. printers, cameras, etc.), features
of XP not covered in class (e.g. remote desktop), other products (e.g. Ghost). Another
possibility is to study new features of Vista (e.g. WPF (a.k.a. Avalon) or Indigo, networkling
in Vista (introduces IPv6), working collaboratively using Vista). Anything related to the
course is possible.
If a project is significantly complex, you can work with a partner. Do not expect a good
grade on the project if you take the easy way out. (For example, adding a local printer is
not sufficiently sophisticated to serve as a project.)
