PHY 201: Using Kirchhoff's Rules (and Excel) to Solve for the Currents in a Network of Resistors

Now we have to multiply the voltage vector | V > by the inverse matrix M-1. So we enter the values (5,0,0) into cells A12:A14. Next we make space for the answer: a 3-by-3 matrix multipying a 3-dimensional vector will give another 3-dimensional vector. So we highlight cells C12:C14 and enter =MMULT(E8:G10,A12:A14) into the formula bar and hit CTRL+SHFT+ENTER.
