PHY 201: Using Kirchhoff's Rules (and Excel) to Solve for the Currents in a Network of Resistors

After multiplying by M^-1, the left-hand-side of the equation is the identity matrix times the current vector | I > . But the identity matrix times a vector is the same as the vector. So the left-hand-side of the equation is the current vector. And the right-hand-side is what appears in cells C12:C14. Thus

I₁ = 0.6366 mA
I₂ = 1.0169 mA
I₃ = 0.0108 mA
