There once was a small store on Arch Street between 18th & 19th, that had just opened, and sold the Commadore PET. There were no cards to punch, no S - L - O - W dialup modem to connect to a main frame. It was stand alone and could be programmed in BASIC (not FORTRAN). I was hooked in the mid-1970s and never turned back.
