The Flower of Scotland Tartan

We wear the Flower of Scotland tartan. The tartan is based off the Gunn tartan worn by Roy Williamson who wrote the song "The Flower of Scotland", which has become the unofficial/official "de facto national anthem" of Scotland, the country's rugby anthem and the official football (soccer) anthem. The tartan was created in Roy's honor. The song commerates the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 in which the King of Scots finally defeated the English. This ended the English rule of Scotland.
