Today’s topic is JavaScript.
Reading is Web Design Made Easy chapter 17. There are lots of sites and resources that deal with JavaScript, often under the heading of DHTML (e.g. Javascript.com ) which has a link to easy cut-and-paste scripts at JavaScriptSource.com. Some other standards include:
- Dynamic Drive with free scripts
- The Top Ten scripts according to About.com.
- Website Abstractions with good Q&A and scripts
- Tutorials, free scripts (from javascriptcity.com) and other links from PageResource
- Links to get pre-built JS code also from Builder.com (formerly C|NET) and Scriptsearch.com and java applets from Anfy.
- A basic tutorial from Web Teacher
- A fairly detailed tutorial in PDF format from U. of Miami
- Finally, here is the core reference from the creators, Netscape’s Core Reference
Take a look at the code Dreamweaver generates for a 3-state Spry navbar .
