Welcome to my personal web page!

This site has been developed to include information about current coursework through the links at the left and below.  In addition, a brief educational and experiential background is presented in the Personal Info page.

I designed and taught a new course in the summer of 2002 - EDC 510.  The course provides an overview of human exceptionalities and an understanding of individual differences in children and adults.  With a variety of graduate students from the education, nursing, and communication programs, the experience was rich with student insights from diverse fields.

I am pleased to teach another graduate course, EDC 642, during the academic year.  This course explores the mathematical thinking of children and prepares teachers to use innovations for instructing in elementary/special  math classrooms.  Revisions/updates of this course began during my Spring '01 sabbatical leave and continued this Spring '02.  For more information, follow the EDC 642 link.

This will be my 18th year as a seminar instructor in EDC 477.  Over the years, I have taught alone or co-taught this senior course with Drs. Lambert, Yost, Mosca and (now) Patrylo.  The course has evolved into focused reflections of instruction and management.  The format is highly interactive with emphasis upon participation in a learning community.
